FARMINGTON – A Maryland woman is suing a Farmington motel after allegedly receiving multiple bed bug bites while staying at the motel this summer.

Valerie Burrell filed a lawsuit on Aug. 8 against C&R Investment, Inc., which, according to the lawsuit, operates as the Farmington Inn at 510 Scott Avenue in Farmington.

She is demanding damages against the owners of the motel in an unspecified amount.

Rajesh Patel is listed as president of C&R Investment Inc., the lawsuit states.

Patel is listed on the City of Farmington business registration for the Farmington Inn, located in Oceanside, California.

He did not want to comment on the lawsuit.

Burrell states in the lawsuit that she stayed at the Farmington Inn June 13-15.
