A woman in West Bengal’s Malda district gave her class 10 board exams from the hospital bed after delivering a child. The woman, identified as Hazra Khatoon, went into labor during her Class 10 board exams at Goalpara High School in Chanchal on Monday.

She was rushed to Chanchal Super Specialty Hospital where she delivered a child. After that, Hazra wrote the remainder of her exam from the hospital bed.

Hazra Khatoon got married two years ago. Her husband is a farmer. Despite being pregnant, Hazra continued with her studies and today she went to school to take her exams.

However, after the labor pains, arrangements were made by the school administration to take her to the hospital.

The school’s promptness has been praised by the Chanchal district officer.

The class 10 board examination commenced in West Bengal today. Nearly lakhs of students appeared to sit for the offline exam after almost two years.
