Video: How does a fixed bed plough work?

The plow was demonstrated during the Field Robot Day in Lelystad (Netherlands) in October. That day was an initiative by NPPL and Farm of the Future.

The plow is specially designed for a system in which the three meter track width remains in the same place for years. With fixed bed cultivation, the ground is never touched by wheels, which has great advantages for soil health.

The fixed bed plow was developed by Wim Steverink. In this video he explains how the plow works and why it still needs some adjustments.
