UP TET is the Teachers Eligibility Test that is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Diploma in Elementary Education every year. As per reports, more than 25 lakh candidates are waiting for the notification to be released. For the candidates to become a teacher in Uttar Pradesh, it is necessary to clear the UP TET Exam. UP TET is for those candidates who wish to teach primary level students. The UP TET is conducted for two types – one for those who wish to teach class 1 to 5 and second for those who wish to teach 6 to 8

The paper is generally for a total of 150 marks each and cut off is different for each category.

The basic age limit for UP TET is a minimum of 18 years of age and a maximum of 35 years of age. Those who belong to SC/ST/OBC/PwD and ex-servicemen are given a relaxation in upper age limit as per the government rules
