TikTok user claims we’ve been washing bed sheets wrong and discovers easy way to keep them fresh

Instead of using regular old laundry detergent and fabric softener, the cleaning account suggests creating your own bespoke laundry mix using items you likely already have at home.

The clip recommends a quarter cup of bi-carb soda followed by a quarter cup of vinegar once a week to achieve the perfect wash that guarantees fresh bed linen.

The video has been viewed and counted 1.2 million times and has been liked over 60,000 times.

The content creator stated in the comments that “vinegar is in the rinse and acts as a fabric softener,” while soda’s deodorizing bicarbonate is “perfect for a deep clean.”

You can even add a sip of lavender oil to add aromatherapy to help you fall asleep at night.

The tip works perfectly on sheets, but is good for trying on all types of laundry, including colors and whites.
