There is no doubt that social media is a powerful tool. There are a number of people who are constantly helping others by using social media.

Dr. Karan Rajan, a London-based NHS surgeon, garnered 286,000 followers on Instagram as he frequently shares information on health and medication. In one of his recent posts on social media, he shared three things to avoid before going to bed.

The first thing he mentioned was not to watch a scary movie before bed. He mentioned that watching horror movies increases adrenaline and leads to high blood pressure. We only fall asleep when we are relaxed. The creepier the movie, the longer it will take you to fall asleep.

Next he mentioned that you shouldn’t sleep right after you eat. It is important to wait at least 90 minutes for your stomach to empty 50% of its contents into your intestines. Otherwise you will get acid reflux which you cannot sleep.

Lastly, don’t bring work into your bedroom as this will lead your brain to think that the bed is not a sleeping environment.
