Commercial real estate company Avison Young has acquired a 34,750 m² industrial unit in Leeds on behalf of luxury bed manufacturer Harrison Spinks.

Located in Millshaw Park, an industrial area just 2 miles south of Leeds city center, the unit has seen significant development in recent years, which currently includes Edmundson Electrical, MPCC and Alliance Healthcare.

Harrison Spinks will use the unit as a new warehouse and logistics location.

Avison Young’s construction consultancy team also acted on behalf of the client and set up a schedule for the condition and monitoring work for the renovation work for the unit.

Jake Pygall, Associate Director at Avison Young said, “This is a fantastic strategic acquisition for our client Harrison Spinks.

“Given a period of continued growth and expansion, it was critical that the company was able to find a warehouse with close ties to the city immediately.

“The Millshaw Park location, which is directly connected to the outer ring road of Leeds and the M621, provides Harrison Spinks with a prime location for the storage and transportation of his goods to warehouses across the city and beyond.”

Darren Marcangelo of Harrison Spinks said, “The new warehouse will function as a distribution center and raw material warehouse, so we can use our existing facilities for production only, rather than storage.

“The location is perfect for our current production in Leeds and will help us achieve our growth potential in the years to come.”

Knight Frank’s Tom Goode added, “We are delighted to have won Harrison Spinks at Millshaw Park. The property is one of the best industrial locations in Leeds and it was no surprise that Harrison Spinks moved quickly to secure the unit after a very brief marketing period. ”

Carter Towler also acted as an agent for the landlord.
