The management of Alfredo E. Marañon Sr. Memorial District Hospital (AEMSMDH) in Sagay City, Negros Occidental, has temporarily suspended admission of patients until further notice, stressing that its bed capacity is currently full.
In its issued advisory, the hospital management said it will only cater to extreme emergency cases.
The number of patients coming in to the Emergency Room greatly increased, thus, resulted in our Triage Tent, Emergency Room and all wards reaching its full bed capacity, it added.
The hospital management advised the public to look for alternative hospitals.
Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz yesterday said the provincial government of Negros Occidental is ready to help (AEMSMDH) in Sagay City.
Diaz said that he had already requested information from the hospital management so that the provincial government “can assist and adjust if needed.”
