Sadio Mane has updated his fans following his head injury which resulted in his being sent off during the round of 16 match against Senegal at AFCON.
Our No10 seems in high spirits and has posed for a picture with Vozinha, the Cape Verdean goalkeeper who caused the injury when the pair clashed in the game in which our man scored and advanced to the next round .
The 29-year-old was unsettlingly allowed to continue, a decision that saw him assist his side’s progress with a goal, but the way he left the pitch was very uncomfortable to watch.

Holding your head, losing your balance and having to sit on the floor – the concussion protocol just wasn’t in place and not good enough to properly protect all the players present.
The picture of the pair suggests they are in high spirits after the heads-to-nose crash and hope to recover soon, but someone with a concussion shouldn’t have been allowed to stay on the pitch.
Jurgen Klopp and all Liverpool fans will appreciate his caption thanking everyone on the pitch and in the hospital for their messages and joke about the Senegal v Cape Verde game.
Fingers crossed there is no permanent damage and that the former Southampton attacker is given the right amount of time to fully recover before he is allowed to continue playing football.
