No vacant Covid bed at private hospitals in Patiala : The Tribune India

Private hospitals in the district have a 100 percent occupancy rate of the beds assigned to Covid-19 patients. The number of patients in stages 2 and 3 is increasing, as is the number of deaths. The county today reported an all-time high of 909 cases.

Health ministry officials said hospital stays for patients in the district had increased. A total of 83 patients are in hospitals. Of these, 17 are stage 3 patients and 66 are stage 2 patients. Out of a total of 3,352 samples collected yesterday, 909 tested positive for Covid-19. Up to 609 patients come from the city of Patiala. There are 4,468 active cases in the district.

Dr. Sumit Singh said, “This is an all time high for the district. Now the virus is spreading to satellite cities and neighboring villages, including Bahadurgarh and Hasanpur. The number of cases in rural areas could continue to rise in the coming days. “

361 receive a booster dose

Health officials said the booster dose was given to 361 eligible residents today.

Officials said those eligible should get the booster dose. The department also collected 2,876 samples.

Deputy District Judge Sandeep Hans said all people should wear masks and keep social distance. He said in light of Covid-19, the electoral commission had ordered a ban on organizing and holding political and election rallies until January 15.
