One landlord was ridiculed for pretending a garage was a bedroom in a shocking rental offer.

They were charging $ 225 a week for the garage in the ad, which also showed a silver sedan parked less than three feet from the bed.

The listing appeared on a Facebook group introduced to tenants looking for rooms in West Auckland, New Zealand – where rental rates have accelerated.
The listing was removed and replaced to hide the fact that it was a garage, not a bedroom.
After the owner misused the ad, it was deleted.
Green MP Chloe Swarbrick told Stuff the listing was “boiled”.
“Most young Aucklanders, oddly enough, would not be particularly shocked by the condition of the apartments many of us have lived in,” said Swarbrick.
Georgie of advocacy group Renters United said the listing was an “unfortunate reality” of the housing market.
