Luisa Savoldi, 88, of Center Twp., passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Heritage Valley, Beaver.
Born April 7, 1934, in Pacentro, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Alberto and Concetta (Mancini) Del Russo.
Luisa was a faithful member of Mary, Queen of Saints Parish, St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Center Twp., where she worked for over 40 years in the church hall as a part of the Kitchen Crew, was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, and volunteered in many other capacities.
She loved her church and her family. Luisa was an excellent cook who was well known for her homemade gnocchi, sauce and lady locks. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Savoldi, on September 20, 2011, and her siblings, Maria Marchionda, John Del Russo, and Esther Sieg.
She is survived by her children, Joanne (John) Swogger and Frank (Elaine) Savoldi; her grandchildren, Justin (Kristin) Swogger, Dr. John (Caitlin) Swogger, Adrienne (Phil) DiCicco, Laura Savoldi and Joseph (Maria) Savoldi; and her great grandchildren, Anthony and Mary Grace DiCicco, Nina Cressey and Zane Swogger, a sister, Frances (Ed) Lopata.
Friends will be received Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 4pm until 7pm at TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., CENTER TWP., 3475 Brodhead Rd., Monaca, PA, 15061, where a service will be held Friday, December 30, 2022, at 9:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Center Twp.
Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Hopewell Twp.
