Loose Women’s Frankie Bridge reveals that she and husband Wayne are sleeping on the floor

‘Everyone is obsessed with the fact we don’t have a bed!’: Frankie Bridge reveals that she and husband Wayne are sleeping on the floor – before making a cheeky reference to ‘creative’ sex

Frankie Bridge called her and husband Wayne’s sleeping habits ‘slightly strange’ on Wednesday’s Loose Women, revealing that they don’t have a bed.

The panel were discussing actress Helen Flanagan’s recent admission that she hasn’t shared a bed with her fiancé Scott for seven years, which led singer Frankie to discuss her own habits.

‘Everyone is obsessed with the fact we [her and Wayne] don’t have a bed!’ she said to Jane Moore, Coleen Nolan and Carol McGiffin, ‘We’ve got our mattress on the floor.’

When Coleen expressed her shock, the former Saturdays singer, 33, continued: ‘I wanted a new bed. I thought I’d be really frugal and sell my bed. My bed sold and I haven’t made a decision on the new one.

‘So Wayne’s got back problems because I can’t make up my mind with what to get!’

Frankie and retired footballer Wayne, 41, share two sons – Parker, eight, and six-year-old Carter.

Of the sleeping arrangements, Frankie said: ‘We do generally share a bed, it’s normally Wayne, Parker, then Carter, then the dog somewhere and then me.’

The Essex native confessed the bedtime situation derived from her paranoia surrounding Parker’s asthma.

‘Parker’s got really bad asthma and he gets these sudden bouts of croup and it always happens in the middle of the night. It started from a bout of paranoia from me because I always had this fear that I wouldn’t hear him in the middle of the night.

‘Then it just became a habit. The boys got used to it, we got used to it. Carter used to be a great sleeper, then he realized Parker was in bed with us. Of course, he came in, then we got a dog and he came in. Wayne got further and further away!’ she recalled.

Frankie did tell her TV colleagues that her boys are now sleeping in their respective beds.

Explaining the reason why, she said: ‘One, they’re massive and they sleep sideways, so we don’t get as much sleep and two, your whole day is with them and as much as you love them, you do need that break.’

The conversation later turned to sex, with Frankie laughing it’s the first thing people think about.

‘[People say]”what do you do now”, I’m like “well be creative about it, it doesn’t always happen in the same place!”‘ she joked.
