Hyderabad: Health Minister T. Harish Rao inaugurated a new third floor with 100 beds in the Kondapur District Hospital on Wednesday as part of the expansion of state health care in the IT corridor.
The new 100-bed facility, developed as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative with Mindspace Business Parks REIT (real estate investment trust), is expected to play an important role in providing free healthcare services during a possible third wave of Play covid. said Harish Rao.
There are also efforts to set up a dialysis unit for patients with chronic kidney disease at Kondapur District Hospital, he said.

“During the two waves of Covid, a total of 1,300 beds were added in various state hospitals in Hyderabad as part of CSR initiatives. I thank Mindspace for their contribution and encourage them to take over Kondapur District Hospital and begin its annual maintenance, ”said Harish Rao.
In an effort to bolster intensive care facilities ahead of a possible third wave of Covid, the health minister said the state government is in the process of adding 900 beds in intensive care in all state hospitals in Telangana at a cost of Rs. 150 million euros.
Harish Rao also urged public officials, including MLAs and corporators, to get involved in promoting Covid vaccination on a large scale. “Before facing a renewed rise in Covid infections, Telangana must give vaccines to as many people as possible. We already vaccinate between 3.5 and 4 lakh people a day. I urge people to get vaccinated at the earliest, ”he said.
