Greenville County child shot while in bed, deputies say

Four people are now being charged after a child was shot dead while lying in his bed in a Greenville apartment complex on January 18. The shooting took place at an apartment complex at 200 Eunice Drive. MPs said an emergency call was received around 11:40 p.m. that a child had been shot. Investigators said the child was shot in bed. MPs said Friday that 17-year-old Narionna Ahshe Young-Dendy, 17-year-old Jiyana Aneice Irby-Addison, 18-year-old Jeremiah Raquan Madison and 21-year-old Frederick Jacques Antonio Ellis are linked to the shooting. As the investigation progressed, investigators said they learned the suspects drove to the Stratford Villa apartments to seek revenge with people not related to the shooting victim. Investigators believe the retaliation was related to an earlier altercation. At least one suspect opened fire in the apartment’s parking lot, eventually hitting the child’s victim. Two homes and at least one vehicle were also attacked. All four suspects were charged with four counts of attempted murder, two counts of firing a firearm into an apartment and criminal conspiracy. The defendants are currently being held without bail at the Greenville County Detention Center. The child was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, MPs said. (The photos of Irby-Addison and Young Dendy were not made available due to their age.)
