GOOD Morning Brit Alex Beresford has been in bed with coronavirus since last week.
The 41-year-old star admitted feeling “relaxed” about washing hands and wearing a mask for the past few weeks as he urged followers to be careful.
The TV presenter wrote on his Twitter page: “In bed with Covid since last week. Feels like a really bad flu.
“I’ve been actively wearing my mask and washing my hands for the past few months because I’ve been on projects I couldn’t fall out of, but I know I’ve relaxed over the past two weeks and here I am! “
Alex added, “I don’t want to imagine how much worse I would be if I didn’t have the vaccine.”
On his Instagram page, the father of one child asked fans for suggestions for TV series.
He explained: “At the moment with Covid at home! Didn’t think I’d get it this bad, to be honest.
“But I’ve been in bed with the flu since last week. No fun at all!”
Alex was understandably absent from Good Morning Britain while recovering from the virus.
He has been on ITV’s breakfast TV since 2012, initially as a weather presenter, but from time to time he is also a guest presenter for GMB.
In March, he was known to be involved in an on-air feud with Piers Morgan, who stormed off the set after clashing with Meghan Markle.
Piers later left the show all together, with Richard Madeley replacing him in the New Year.
