The Glen Arbor parish celebrated a very special tradition this morning.
It’s called the bed parade.
People in the community decorate a bed and then drive downtown for everyone to check out.
Most of the festival beds were also awarded prizes by the organizers.
On Friday morning shoppers lined Western Avenue in pajamas to ring in the holiday season.
“It’s so fun that the holiday season starts with this,” said Michael Lyons, lead promoter. “We all went shopping for turkey yesterday and his pajamas today so you can shop in your pajamas, his tradition.”
