St. Joseph’s General Hospital Foundation in Elliot Lake has launched its annual Tree of Lights fundraiser, which continues its campaign through 2022 to replace up to 54 beds at the facility.

This year’s campaign pays homage to two longtime Elliot Lake residents, the late Bob Stirling and the late Wilma Ingram, noted community volunteers.

The cost of replacing the beds is estimated at $ 324,000.

The public can purchase lightbulbs for $ 10 each or three for $ 25 as a memorial for a loved one or as a Christmas greeting.

The official lighting of the tree will take place this Sunday at 7 p.m. in front of the hospital.

COVID19 logs are in place.
