Education PG, BEd in-person classes to resume at St Xavier’s

St. Xavier’s College, Park Street, will resume personal tuition with the outgoing Postgraduate and BEd batches as of November 16, and will also resume research activities.

The library opens, but only books can be borrowed and deposited.

Nobody was allowed to read in the library.

The college doesn’t reopen the hostels right away.

“The resumption of offline teaching, starting with outbound Postgraduate and BEd batches, will be calibrated in phases to ensure that all safety standards and protocols are fully and comprehensively anchored before we bring all students back to campus and the facilities of the Re-open hostels. ”Reads the message signed by the headmaster, Father Dominic Savio.

He said research laboratories had been opened to ensure the scientists could resume full-time research.

A college official said the outgoing group’s practical and theory classes would alternate between being held on campus.

A schedule has been drawn up, he added.

Those who cannot come because parents do not agree to send their sons and daughters amid the pandemic can continue to attend their theory classes via digital platforms.

“We’re not forcing anyone to come on campus,” said Father Dominic Savio The telegraph.

Unlike the Masters and BEd levels, many undergraduate students come from states outside of Bengal and cannot be called without the hostels reopening, a college official said.

Until the remaining students are called to campus for personal academic activities, they will continue to attend classes in online mode.

A significant number of new students are under 18 years of age and have not received a vaccine dose.

The quorum is not ready to call you.

Exams for most years begin on December 4th and are held online.

The Internet and audio-video facilities will be serviced and upgraded as blended learning continues, the press release said.
