MADURAI: As the application deadline for the Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) exam approaches, hundreds of aspirants who completed their BEd course in the 2020-21 academic year are very concerned as Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU ) their consolidated brand claims are still to be published.

Sources said it is mandatory to upload all certificates including SSLC, HSC, UG, B.Ed., PG, Convocation and the like while applying for the PG-TRB exam. “At least 4,000 students from over 500 BEd colleges across the state go to awareness each year,” they said, adding that the application deadline for the exam is October 17.

Speak with The new Indian express, C. Mahalakshmi, a trade graduate who also graduated from BEd, said the recruitment committee is issuing a notice after a two-year gap to fill 2,207 open positions. “Of those vacancies alone, nearly 900 are commercial and accounting teachers,” she said.

She went on to say that although the second year B.Ed results were released in July, students were not getting consolidated grade statements. “I have sent an email to PG-TRB, but have not yet received a response. The hotline number given on the TRB website is also useless as no one answered my call,” she said and urged the officials of the University to sign up to issue consolidated trademark declarations and preliminary certificates.
A TRB official said, on condition of anonymity, that he has replied to 200 emails so far and staff are responding to the calls.

Meanwhile, TNTEU registrar V Balakrishnan said the transcripts for each year have been sent to the colleges concerned. “Those who need a consolidated grade statement should submit a Demand Draft of 700 to the exam controller. With regard to the TRB exam, we are taking steps to release the consolidated grade statements immediately,” he added.
