Damar Hamlin live-tweets Bills’ game vs. Patriots from hospital bed: ‘OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!’

Damar Hamlin made his return to social media on Saturday, and he’s back in full force on Sunday. The Bills safety is live tweeting from his hospital bed as he watches his team battle the Patriots and fight for playoff seeding.

Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on the field in Cincinnati on Monday but continues to steadily recover, tweeted a picture of himself and his parents getting ready to watch the game in his hospital room. Hamlin and his parents are all doing “Love for Damar” shirts with his No. 3 on the front.

Hamlin had the same reaction everyone at home did when Nyheim Hines returned the opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown. It as the Bills’ first kickoff returned for a touchdown since 2019, sending fans, players, and coaches into a frenzy in one of the season’s most incredible moments.

After the Bills tweeted that Hines’ kickoff return touchdown was the team’s first in three years and three months, a reference to Hamlin’s No. 3, Hamlin said it was “no coincidence.”

The Bills surrendered a game-tying touchdown to Jakobi Meyers shortly after, but Hamlin was living Dawson Knox’s touchdown that give Buffalo the lead again.

Knox put three fingers up in the end zone and made the shape of a heart with his hands. Hamlin sent the love right back to Knox.

The Bills are locked into a playoff spot and can’t move into the AFC’s No. 1 seed, but they’re playing with plenty on the line against the Patriots.

A Bills loss and Bengals win would mean Buffalo drops down to the No. 3 seed and might have to go on the road to both Cincinnati and Kansas City to get through the AFC.
