Curfew in places like Amravati not to impact state govt exam schedule | Nagpur News

Nagpur: The state government’s examination for the Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El.Ed) will take place as planned from Tuesday, including in areas such as Amravati, where a curfew has been imposed.
To facilitate unhindered student mobility in such areas, the Maharashtra State Examination Council has written to all district collectors asking for their cooperation. Dattatrey Jagtap, director of the council, said students carrying an indoor ticket must be allowed to enter the exam centers. Each district has at least one examination center.
Jagtap wrote: “As these exams were planned well in advance, it is currently not possible to postpone them”.
Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad shared a copy of Jagtap’s letter on her social media profile.
