Covid Nottingham Hospitals update: Admissions up 60% in a week – see bed occupancy and vaccination numbers

Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG have prepared their weekly update on the Covid situation in their hospitals.

The update includes data for Sherwood Forest Hospitals, Nottingham University Hospitals and Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust.

Hospitals

  • There were 50 Covid-19-related approvals in the seven days leading up to October 10, up from 62 in the previous 7 days
  • Our hospitals had 137 beds with Covid + patients on October 12, compared to 161 beds on October 5
  • Of these 137 beds, 12% (16 beds) were mechanically ventilated
  • There were 10 deaths in the week of October 7-13, up from 9 the previous week

General practice

  • Latest data shows that there were 454,315 doctor visits in August, 58 percent of them in person and 52 percent of patients on the same or next day.

Vaccinations

  • Latest figures (December 8 – October 10) show that 1,419,026 6,390 first and second dose vaccines were administered in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire in the past week. This means that 80.6 percent of those over the age of 18 have now received 2 doses.
  • 57.2 percent of 18 to 29 year olds received two doses.
  • 87.7 percent of those over 30 received two doses.

  • Newark – The Newark Urgent Treatment Center at Newark Hospital is open 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. It is located on Boundary Road, NG24 4DE
  • Sutton In Ashfield – Primary Care 24 is open 24 hours and is located in King’s Mill Hospital, NG17 4JL
