Braggs couple accused of tying children to bed using zip ties | News

A Braggs man and woman were charged with child abuse and neglect in Muskogee County District Court Tuesday after a Muskogee County Sheriff’s assistant found that two children in their home were zipped to a bed in their home, according to court documents.

Keith Emory Morrison, 36, and Shawna Laniece Lee, 43, were each charged and their bonds were set at $ 50,000 each, court records show.

The children are 3 and 5 years old. Court documents state that the children were injured “by tying the children to the bed with children’s leash restraints and zipping them with their hands and feet.”

The children also lived in “miserable” circumstances. Court records show that the children live in an “unhealthy environment, keeping piles of rubbish in the house, dirty, dirty diapers in the house and rotting, moldy food in the house,” according to the MP’s affidavit.

Morrison and Lee will be back in Muskogee County District Court on November 23rd to set a date for a preliminary hearing. At the end of the preliminary hearing, a judge will determine whether a crime has been committed and whether Morrison and Lee are the people who committed the crime.
