Residents of a NYCHA building in Brooklyn say they have been without a heater for three weeks.
The people who live at the Eleanor Roosevelt Houses in Bed-Stuy say they had to eat Thanksgiving dinner with their coats and gloves on to stay warm.
News 12 reached out to NYCHA who said, “Roosevelt Houses is a third party location and has a BMS (building management system) temperature system which controls the temperature in buildings via an indoor sensor. We currently have no service interruption. Location and the BMS shows that the temperatures in the buildings are satisfactory. NYCHA employees are currently evaluating five open work orders with no heat. “
