Bed Exam: 80 Expelled For Using Unfair Means At Ara | Patna News

Ara: Throwing all norms to wind, heaps of guides, guess papers and mobile phones were being used on a large scale on Friday at HD Jain College, Ara, which was the center for BEd final year exam of three colleges under the Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), Patna. About 300 students (297 to be exact) were taking their BEd final year exam in two classrooms of HD Jain College. The examination is going on since July 8.
Bhojpur DM Raj Kumar was shocked during his surprise inspection to the center when he found ‘a free for all’ atmosphere prevailing in both the examination halls where students were found enlarged in mass copying with the help of all guides, guess papers and mobile phones.
The DM told the media persons, “On getting information that students are using unfair means on a very large scale, we conducted a raid and found them writing with the help of guides, guess papers and other unfair means. I expelled 80 students and their cell phones and guess papers were also seized. It is the duty of the center superintendent to ensure that no unfair means are allowed during the examination. Investigation is going on and if any body is found guilty, strict action will be taken against them. I have also recommended the university concerned to cancel the exam.”
meanwhile principal HD Jain College, Narendra Kumar Singh told the media persons, “I had made a request to the administration to deploy adequate numbers of police personnel and magistrates to conduct the exam in a fair way. But the college was not provided adequate number of police personnel.”
