Barwala to get 50-bed hosp | Chandigarh News

Panchkula: Barwala will probably get a 50 bed hospital. The Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta has appointed Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Mukta Kumar asked to draw up a plan for the establishment of the hospital and provide a detailed report of the number of doctors, staff and other technical requirements required to operate the hospital.
Barwala residents are demanding a hospital as they travel a lot to get to the General Hospital, Sector 6, and the primary health center does not have all the facilities. The residents offer their Panchayati land for the hospital. They were also ready to give up their share of their land if a state hospital was established in their area.
An Ayushman hospital also ran in the primary health center. Kumar said, “The proposal is being prepared and will be presented to the speaker within this week.”
Gupta said, “Soon after receiving the final proposal, I will forward it to the Health Department for approval so that the required work, machinery and hiring of personnel can be carried out accordingly.”
Kumar has asked Gupta to relocate the food and drug division from Sector 26 Polyclinic to Agro Mall in Sector 20 in order to expand the clinic’s facilities to accommodate more residents.
