Amritsar, December 24th

The exams of BEd semester II (theory) planned from January 3rd to 17th have been postponed until further notice.

GNDU has announced the decision to postpone all scheduled exams indefinitely due to the ongoing strike by college and university professors against the failure of the Seventh Salary Commission to execute.

Since the teachers’ strike was not immediately suspended, all academic classes have been canceled for the past three weeks.

The teachers are not available for examination tasks and the examination can only be expected after an agreement has been reached between the teachers and the state government. The entire situation of the education band embarrassed the students, as the delays in the semester exams, especially in the seventh semester, would affect their practical training and the application process for further studies.

In the meantime, the GNDU authorities hope the matter will be resolved soon.
