Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson were thrown into the deep end when they entered I’m A Celebrity Thursday night and had to tackle the snake-infested Castle Scare Fair trial in front of their camp mates.

But they were also faced with the prospect of sharing a bed, which EastEnders star Adam, 53, was not particularly pleased with when he learned that Corrie actor Simon, 47, “farts like a soldier”.

After the soap stars scored an impressive 11 out of 12 stars for the camp, the clan returned to cloud nine, noting some differences: portraits of Adam and Simon framed on the wall, their thrones around the fire, and a bed for them to share .

Then Adam quipped, “Can we have single beds, please?”

The newcomers to camp come after one of the show’s biggest stars Richard Madeley, 65, was forced to leave the competition after being hospitalized hours after completing his trial in the episode on Wednesday.

At the start of the show with the announcement of Richard’s departure, Ant McPartlin said: “It was a day full of drama in the castle, one is over and two have arrived.

“You have probably heard the sad news. Richard Madeley has left the castle. Richard fell ill early in the morning and was taken to the hospital. Due to Covid reasons, he could not rejoin the group.

And it was sure to be a dramatic show on Thursday when Naughty Boy, 36, with Frankie Bridge, 32, honked the horn after being annoyed that she referred to Main Camp as “our camp” when speaking to the DJ who from The Clink.

During the episode, viewers watched Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly Simon (Steve McDonald) of Coronation Street and former EastEnders star Adam, 53, (Ian Beale) introduce campmates as they got to the Castle Scare Fair trial .

Dec stated, “There are two very important people here tonight and I’m not talking about me and Ant. Please say hello to your new camp mates, the new Lords of the Castle – Simon and Adam.”
