Muscat – In April 2022, Aster Oman’s new flagship hospital is due to open in the Sultanate.
Aster Royal Hospital will have 150 new doctors and staff of various nationalities. The 200-bed facility with modern technology and infrastructure will offer a 24-hour emergency service.
At a press conference at the Levatio Hotel Muscat on Thursday, Dr. Ashik Sainu Mohiyadeen, Medical Director of Aster Oman, the hospital’s logo: “The new building, which is located next to the Aster al Raffah Hospital in Ghubra, will be one of a kind in terms of services and facilities. Our new doctors are specialists and equipped for any major operation or complication. We have been in Oman for 14 years and it was an incredible trip. “
He noted that he had met many Oman patients traveling to India for treatment. “But now with Aster Royal, no Omani has to travel abroad for treatment. Any facility or drug that patients went to India from Oman for will now be available in their own country. In addition to the treatment costs, this will ensure savings in several other segments, ”said Dr. Mohiyads.
Farhaan Yasin, Regional Director of Aster Oman and Aster Kerala, said: “As part of the Aster Royal Hospital, we will also be launching something new called Aster at Home. This is the first time such a concept is available nationwide. This service is aimed at people who would rather have medical services and experts at home than come to us. “
In order to simplify appointments, patients can book appointments with their preferred doctor at a date and time of their choice, thus avoiding queues and documentation processes. A mobile application is currently in beta for this.
