18-year-old woman shot in bed was not the intended target, Terrebonne sheriff says

TERREBONNE PARISH, La. (WVUE) – A woman who was shot while lying in bed was not the intended target, according to the Terrebonne Township Sheriff’s office.

The shooting occurred on November 30 at Block 3500 of Highway 316 in Gray, Louisiana.

MPs said an 18-year-old woman was shot in the lower body while she was in bed in a motor home. Your injuries are considered non-life threatening. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Several shell casings and “other evidence” were recovered from a wooded area near the back of the motor home from which the gunfire originated, officials say.

Investigators do not believe the woman was the intended target.
