100-bed floor inaugurated at Kondapur District Hospital

Hyderabad, December 8th: Health Minister T. Harish Rao inaugurates a new floor with 100 beds in the Kondapur District Hospital.

The 100-bed floor was built with the help of Raheja Corporations at a time when the demand for beds was increasing due to Covid-19.

The minister said an additional 1,300 beds had been set up in state hospitals in Hyderabad during Covid as part of corporate social responsibility. Children’s wards with 6,000 beds were made available in 33 districts.

Rao said the government will soon set up a dialysis station in Kondapur.

He also mentioned that the government was prepared with a plan to combat the third wave of Covid-19. State hospitals now have 27,000 beds, he said. He also assured that more than 900 beds will soon be made available in the intensive care unit.


Rao sought the help of all citizens to make the vaccination campaign 100% effective. In the state, 3.5 to 4 lakh people are vaccinated every day, he said. He urged all business owners to go to people’s homes and make sure everyone in their area is vaccinated.
